Ju-Woo is a Korean-English translator and researcher for the Houston Chapter of the National Unification Advisory Council, serving to gather the national consensus concerning unification. Her work helps the South Korean government develop and implement policies for a democratic and peaceful inter-Korean unification.
Ju-Woo served as the primary translator of the "Resolution in Support of the Declaration of the End of War on the Korean Peninsula," which was then presented to the national council.
Using her fluency in both Korean and English, Ju-Woo helped develop "A Public Opinion Poll on the Peaceful Unification of South Korea and North Korea." By planning, conducting, and evaluating quantitative and qualitative research, she was able to increase accessibility and awareness about a peaceful, democratic unification process.
Garnering responses from 632 participants, the nationally-distributed survey demonstrated a marked difference in the trend of public opinion among generations. The research results were published under the name of the National Unification Advisory Council and utilized by the South Korean government.
Ju-Woo wrote a paper on the Peaceful Reunification of Korea and submitted her work to the International Peaceful Unification Literature Contest in the Americas and the Peace Unification Literary Competition. Her work, "A Pair of Chopsticks," received the Special Writing Award and Grand Prize Award, respectively.
